This wonderful little book is American, published in 1939 by The Three Mountaineers Inc. it contains over 300 cocktail recipes compiled by W C Whitfield - there is narrative as well as recipes. It has lots of beautiful illustrations by Tad Shell. The covers are pieces of wood, with scalloped edges, hinged and held together with laced leather thongs. The front cover has a coloured illustration of a cockerel sipping a cocktail and the words "Just Cocktails" above it. A great accompaniment to one of our cocktail accessories or just a wonderful thing in its own right to have and to treasure.
